Add a Spin Wheel Overlay to OBS
The ChoiceSpin embed builder can make a wheel with a Transparent background and put every setting into one direct URL. Paste that URL into a Browser Source and the wheel sits over your game or camera. This page walks through the OBS side, from that URL to a live spin.

The wheel comes from the embed builder. It was made for websites, but its Direct URL output is a plain web address that opens the wheel on a page of its own, and a Browser Source needs nothing more. That address carries the whole wheel: entries, colors, title and spin settings.
Any app with a browser-style source can load it. OBS Studio calls it Browser, Streamlabs Desktop calls it Browser Source, and other tools usually label it web or webpage. With the Transparent background the page behind the wheel has no color of its own, so the wheel floats over gameplay or your camera instead of covering the scene with a panel.

Build the wheel and copy its URL
Open the embed builder and type one entry per line. It takes 2 to 100 entries of up to 80 characters each. Because the entries travel inside the link, all of them together can use about 3,900 characters, or fewer in scripts such as Japanese.
Leave Visitor controls on Spin the wheel, so no buttons or edit box appear and you spin by clicking the wheel itself. Under Look, choose Transparent, pick the ChoiceSpin, Ocean or Sunset colors, and set Spin duration anywhere from 1 to 15 seconds. The title above the wheel is under Wheel title; empty that box and no title shows. Show a ChoiceSpin credit adds a small Create your own wheel on ChoiceSpin link under the wheel, so switch it off to keep that link off your stream.
On Transparent, the title and the result line are white. Place the wheel over a darker part of your scene, or choose Dark to fill the source with a dark background instead.
In the Copy the code for your site box, switch from Embed code to Direct URL and press Copy direct URL. One caution before you share a scene collection or a settings screenshot: anyone holding that URL can read your entry list, so leave private viewer details out of it.
Try a four-choice drawing segment
Replace the entries with Sketch a robot, Draw a forest, Design a spaceship and Invent a mascot on separate lines. Choose Transparent, switch Remove each winner on, set Spin duration to 3 seconds and type Next drawing under Wheel title. Then use Open the wheel on its own page under the preview. It opens the same address you would copy, on a dark page because the background is see-through.
Click the wheel. When it stops, the line under it names the winner and says 3 left, and that slice is gone. Spin again and 2 are left. From there the wheel still spins between the last two but stops removing them, so it never runs empty. Reload the tab and all four choices come back, because the wheel keeps nothing between loads. Exact OBS Studio steps
1. Select the scene that should show the wheel, then click the plus button at the bottom of the Sources panel.
2. Pick Browser, name it something like Giveaway wheel, and confirm.
3. Paste the copied URL into the URL field and set Width and Height to 800 x 800. That square holds the title, the wheel, the result line and the credit without scrolling. Click OK.
4. Drag a corner handle to fit the wheel into your layout, keeping the full circle and its pointer on screen.
5. To spin, right-click the new source and choose Interact. OBS does not pass clicks through the program canvas, so the Interact window is where you click the wheel during a draw.
Streamlabs Desktop follows the same pattern: add a Browser Source from the plus menu, paste the URL, set the size, and spin through its Interact option.
Running a giveaway on stream
Lock your entrant list first, paste the final names into the builder, copy a fresh Direct URL into the source, and draw where viewers can watch the pointer land. The wheel does not read chat, so viewers cannot add themselves: collect names in chat or a form, then paste them in. Handing out several prizes? Turn on Remove each winner so each pick drops off the wheel before the next spin, until two entries are left, and write each winner down as it lands.
A Browser Source can reload in the middle of a draw. Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active can cause that when you hide or switch scenes. The wheel keeps nothing between loads, so a reload starts again from the entries in the URL and brings removed winners back. Keep both OBS options unchecked during a draw and check the wheel after any reload.
Pasting more than 100 names? Open the giveaway winner picker in a normal browser window and capture that window instead. It accepts up to 2,000 lines, but it draws only from the first 1,000 until you raise Entries Visible in Customize. It records winners in a browser-local Results history, and its auto remove winner setting takes a winning line off the list until two lines remain. With Show Duplicates on, each line inside that limit gets its own slice, so a name pasted twice has two slices. That is how bonus tickets work, and auto remove then takes off one copy per win.
Troubleshooting the Browser Source
Clicking the wheel does nothing. Normal OBS behavior, not a bug. Right-click the source and open Interact, then click the wheel inside that window.
No finish sound. Play a finish sound starts off in the builder. Switch it on, copy the new Direct URL into the source, and test one spin in a private scene to confirm the audio reaches your mix.
Your changes are not appearing. The wheel's settings travel in the URL, so edit in the builder, copy the Direct URL again, and replace the URL in the source properties. If an old version lingers, use the source's Refresh cache of current page button.
The wheel reset mid-draw. The source reloaded, and a reload always starts from the entries in the URL. Check the two OBS options above. To carry on, take the names already drawn out of the list in the builder, copy the new Direct URL and paste it into the source before the next spin.
The text is hard to read. On Transparent, the title and result line are white. Move the wheel over a darker area, or rebuild it with the Dark background.
The circle is cut off. Set the source's Width and Height back to 800 x 800, then resize by dragging in the scene so nothing gets cropped.
OBS wheel questions
What size should the Browser Source be?
800 x 800 works well: the title, wheel, result line and credit all fit. The wheel grows with the source up to about 600 pixels across, so a bigger or wider source only adds empty space around it. Scale the source in your scene instead of typing new dimensions.
Is the wheel background transparent in OBS?
Yes, if you pick Transparent in the embed builder. The page then has no background color, so there is nothing to key out. Light is the builder's default, so change it before you copy the URL. Dark fills the source with a dark background if you want a solid panel behind the wheel.
Can viewers enter the wheel from chat?
No. This wheel has no chat connection, so viewers cannot add or remove themselves. Collect the names in chat yourself and paste the final list into the builder before the draw.
Do I need an account to use the wheel in OBS?
No. The embed builder and the URL it makes are free, with no sign-up.
Why did my wheel jump back to the original names?
The wheel keeps nothing between loads, so any reload of the Browser Source starts again from the entries in its URL. Keep the source's shutdown and refresh-on-active options off during a multi-winner draw, and write each winner down as it lands.
