Charades Generator
The wheel starts with 24 everyday actions, juggling to kite flying, and one spin hands the actor a charades prompt to mime.
Start a charades round
- Agree on the rules first
Decide what counts before play: gestures only or added signals, and how long each guess lasts.
- Keep the prompt secret
Let the actor spin and read the result alone, since it stays on screen afterward.
- Act it out in place
Mime without props, and allow a re-spin when a prompt lands badly.
Safety: Pretend every action in place. Do not use real vehicles, water, boats, animals, balloons, paint, tools, sharp or heavy objects, or throwing props. Clear the floor and keep every movement within the actor's comfort.
Prompts built for miming in place
Every starter action can be mimed standing in place, so rounds work even in a small room. Before adding a prompt of your own, picture the mime; if you cannot imagine acting it, cut it, along with anything that mocks a real person or group.
One catch: the winning prompt stays on screen with no hidden actor-only view. Hand the device to the actor before spinning, or have guessers face away until it is read. Keep favorite lists in My Wheels for next time.
Where these charades prompts work
Adjust the list for the setting instead of making one group play another group's version.
- Family Game nights: Choose familiar prompts and adapt each action to the people and the space.
- Classroom Vocabulary practice: Let students act, draw, or describe the word; grade the vocabulary, not the acting.
- Party Optional team rounds: Add your own timer or score sheet for team play; the wheel just picks prompts.

Common questions
How do we play several rounds without repeats?
Switch on auto remove winner: acted prompts leave the wheel until two remain, and you finish those by hand.
Can I build a themed charades list?
Yes. Replace the entries with jobs, sports, or holiday scenes, and keep the list in My Wheels.
